NEET PG Syllabus 2026

The NEET PG 2026 syllabus is entirely based on the MBBS curriculum prescribed by the National Medical Commission (NMC). It is divided into three major sections: Pre-Clinical, Para-Clinical, and Clinical. The Pre-Clinical section includes subjects such as Anatomy, Physiology, and Biochemistry, which form the basic foundation of medical studies. The Para-Clinical section covers subjects like Pharmacology, Pathology, Microbiology, and Forensic Medicine, with a focus on applied and practical knowledge.

The Clinical section has the highest weightage and includes Medicine, Surgery, Obstetrics, Gynaecology, Paediatrics, ENT, Ophthalmology, and other related fields. This structure ensures that candidates are tested on both theoretical knowledge and its practical use in real medical situations.

NEET PG focuses on analytical skills and clinical application of concepts. For example, instead of only asking theoretical definitions, the exam may present case studies where candidates must diagnose or choose the best treatment.

The entire syllabus is vast, so candidates are advised to prepare accordingly. Starting with core pre-clinical basics then moving to disease understanding through para-clinical subjects, and finally mastering clinical subjects ensures a strong preparation strategy.
