NEET PG Exam 2026: National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) PG is a national-level entrance exam for students who wish to pursue postgraduate medical courses in India. It is conducted once every year by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). This exam is to take admission to MD, MS, PG Diploma, DNB, and other medical courses in government, private, and deemed colleges, universities across the country. NEET PG Exam 2026 exam date will be 15 June 2026 through CBT (computer-based test) across the various  test centers in India.

The online registration for the same will start from 17 April for the year 2026, and the expected last date to submit the form will be 05 May 2026. Applicants with an MBBS Degree from a recognized university and a mandatory internship can apply for NEET PG 2026 via NBEMS web portal https://nbe.edu.in/. To be eligible, students must have completed their MBBS degree from a recognised university.

NEET PG 2026 Exam Date

NEET PG 2026 is a national-level entrance exam for students aspiring to pursue postgraduate medical courses in India, such as MD (Doctor of Medicine) and MS (Master of Surgery). The exam is conducted once a year by the NBEMS in computer-based mode, which is expected to be held on 15 June 2026. NEET PG 2026 Exam Admit Card 

The NEET PG 2026 admit card is expected to be released on 11 June 2026 by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS). Candidates will be able to download it only from the official NBEMS website using their registered login credentials, such as the user ID and password created during the application process. Without the admit card and a valid ID proof, no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall as per the NBEMS.

Admit card will include important details such as the candidate’s name, roll number, photograph, signature, exam date, exam time, reporting time, and the complete address of the examination centre. NEET PG 2026 Exam Pattern

NEET PG 2026 will be conducted in computer-based mode and will be held in the English language. The question paper will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions, each carrying 4 marks, making the total marks 800. For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted. NEET 2026 PG Answer Keys

NEET PG Answer Key 2026 is a very important paper for students who appear in the exam. The answer key is released in two parts – provisional and final. The provisional answer key gives students a chance to raise objections if they find any mistakes.

NEET PG 2026 Counselling Process

NEET PG 2026 counselling process will be organised after the results are announced for candidates who have qualified the exam by meeting the cut-off percentile. The counselling is conducted by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC). Counselling is held online and is conducted in multiple rounds, including a mop-up round for vacant seats. Students are required to apply for the counselling round by following the steps below:

  • Step 1: Candidates must visit the official website to register by providing personal, academic, and NEET PG exam details. A counselling fee must be paid online.
  • Step 2: Candidates select their preferred courses and colleges from the available list. Choices must be locked before the deadline.
  • Step 3: Based on NEET PG rank, preferences, category, and seat availability, the system allocates seats.
  • Step 4:  The allotment result is published online. Candidates allotted a seat must report to the assigned institute for document verification. 
  • Step 5: The Last step is document verification, including NEET PG scorecard, admit card, MBBS degree, internship certificate, and ID proof, which are verified before admission is confirmed.
