NEET Cutoff 2026: NEET UG Cutoff is the minimum score for admission to MBBS program in the top medical colleges in India. National Test Agency will release the NEET Cutoff along with the result in June 2026* on the official web portal @neet.nta.nic.in. The Cutoff marks depend on some factors, such as the number of students appearing for the exam, the difficulty level of the paper, and available seats.

Candidates who meet the cutoff score are able to apply for counselling and seat allotment in medical colleges. NEET Cutoff 2026 is different for each category (General, OBC, SC, ST), for General category 50th percentile, while for the reserved category, it is 40th percentile.

NEET 2026 Merit List

The NEET 2026 merit list is prepared by the National Testing Agency (NTA) after the result is declared. It contains the names of students arranged according to their marks and percentile scores. The All India Rank (AIR) shown in the scorecard is based on the candidate’s performance compared to all other students across India. This AIR is very important because it is used during the counselling process for seat allotment in MBBS, BDS, and other medical courses.

Apart from the All India Rank (AIR), NTA also gives a category rank, which shows a student’s position within their reserved category such as SC, ST, OBC, or EWS. The merit list is sent to the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for All India Quota (AIQ) seats and to state counselling bodies for state quota seats. Students should note that AIR is the main rank used for admission in both government and private medical colleges. A better AIR increases the chances of getting a seat in top medical colleges.
